ACME Solar signs 250-MW FDRE power PPA with NHPC at ₹4.33/kWh

Gurugram: ACME Solar Holdings Limited has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NHPC Limited for a 250 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Tranche VI project, further strengthening its long-term contracted portfolio. The PPA was executed on 29 January 2026 through ACME Solar’s subsidiary, ACME Urja One Private Limited.
The project has been awarded at a tariff of ₹4.33 per unit and will be connected to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS), for which connectivity approvals are already in place. As per the agreement, the project will operate with a minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 40% and will be required to meet 90% of peak power demand for four hours daily on a monthly basis.
ACME Solar plans to invest approximately ₹3,700 crore in the development of the FDRE project. Construction activities are being accelerated, with nearly 40% of the land acquisition already completed. The project is expected to deliver a CUF of over 60% and is scheduled for commissioning by 30 June 2027.
With the addition of this project, ACME Solar’s total PPA-signed capacity has reached 5,630 MW, while a further 2,140 MW remains in the pipeline, where Letters of Award (LOAs) have been secured or are under process.
