India’s leading end-to-end battery pack manufacturer and energy storage solutions provider, Lineage Power Private Limited, a material subsidiary of Pace Digitek Limited, has secured a ₹158.7 crore (including GST) order from Reliance Industries Limited. The contract is for the supply of advanced lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery packs for industrial and energy applications.

Under this deal, Lineage Power will manufacture and deliver 50,000 units of 48 V 15S1P 314 Ah Li-ion battery packs, designed to provide high-reliability backup for telecom loads. The order highlights the company’s end-to-end battery pack manufacturing capabilities, positioning it as a key player in India’s domestic energy storage market.

The company also plans to expand its battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity from 2.5 GWh to 5 GWh, aiming to meet the rising demand from renewable energy projects, grid storage, and industrial applications.

This milestone reinforces our strategy of scaling high-efficiency, product-centric solutions alongside EPC and annuity-linked projects,” said Pace Digitek management. The order also aligns with the rapid growth of lithium-ion battery adoption in India, driven by renewable integration, industrial backup systems, and telecom energy requirements.

With this development, the consolidated order book of Pace Digitek Limited now stands at ₹104,906 million, spanning Telecom, ICT, and Energy segments. Analysts see the deal as a significant endorsement of domestic manufacturing capabilities in India’s critical energy infrastructure sector.

Financially, the move is expected to contribute significantly to Pace Digitek’s revenue and margin profile, with BESS products delivering margins of 13–15%. Analysts note that such orders strengthen India’s energy independence and support the government’s renewable energy targets.

This milestone comes at a time when the lithium-ion battery market in India is witnessing rapid growth, driven by EV adoption, solar integration, and domestic energy storage projects. The collaboration with Reliance Industries is also expected to enhance Lineage Power’s position in India’s high-capacity energy storage segment.
