GREW Solar win 500 MW M10R & G12R TOPCon Module Supply Order for Utility-Scale Solar Projects

GREW Solar bags a major 500 MW module supply contract for utility-scale projects.GREW Solar secures 500 MW M10R and G12R TOPCon solar module supply order for utility-scale projects in India
Ahmedabad-based Chiripal Group-backed domestic solar manufacturer GREW Solar has secured a 500 MW order for the supply of high-efficiency M10R and G12R TOPCon solar modules. The modules will be deployed across multiple utility-scale solar projects for a leading Indian power developer

The order reflects the growing preference for n-type TOPCon technology, which offers higher efficiency, improved temperature coefficients, and better long-term performance compared to conventional p-type modules. With developers increasingly focusing on performance optimization and lifecycle energy yield, advanced TOPCon modules are witnessing stronger demand across large-scale projects.

Focus on High-Efficiency Modules

The supply will include GREW Solar’s domestically manufactured M10R and G12R series TOPCon modules, designed to deliver higher output and enhanced reliability in diverse climatic conditions. These modules are engineered for large-format solar installations, enabling improved balance-of-system optimization and reduced levelized cost of electricity (LCOE).

Industry trends indicate a shift toward larger wafer formats and n-type technologies, with developers prioritizing higher wattage modules to maximize generation within limited land footprints.

Expanding Manufacturing Capacity

GREW Solar currently operates a 6.5 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Dudu, Rajasthan, positioning itself among India’s growing domestic PV manufacturers. The company has announced plans to scale its module capacity to 11 GW in the near term.

Additionally, GREW Solar is developing an 8 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, aimed at strengthening vertical integration and reducing reliance on imports. The expansion aligns with India’s broader push to build a self-reliant solar supply chain under various domestic manufacturing initiatives.

Strengthening India’s Renewable Pipeline

The 500 MW order comes at a time when India is accelerating solar capacity additions to meet its ambitious clean energy goals. Utility-scale projects continue to dominate installations, and the demand for high-efficiency, domestically manufactured modules is expected to remain strong.

With developers seeking reliable partners capable of large-scale, timely deliveries, this contract underscores GREW Solar’s growing footprint in India’s competitive solar manufacturing landscape.

As India moves toward its long-term renewable energy targets, orders of this scale signal continued confidence in domestic manufacturers and advanced solar technologies.
