Ahmedabad-based solar module manufacturer GREW Solar has secured a significant 550 MW repeat order for high-efficiency solar modules from a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP). This repeat contract underscores growing trust in the company's product quality, reliability, and timely delivery performance, further solidifying its role in India's booming domestic solar ecosystem.

The order, announced in early February 2026, involves the supply of advanced TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) modules, with all deliveries scheduled to be completed by March 31, 2026. Repeat business from major IPPs is a key credibility signal in India's competitive solar supply chain, where proven field performance and execution reliability are now essential amid tightening project timelines and massive utility-scale deployments.

Repeat Order Reflects Proven Performance and Market

As India pushes aggressively toward its clean energy targets and long-term climate goals under initiatives like Viksit Bharat @2047, demand for dependable domestic module suppliers is surging. Utility-scale solar pipelines are expanding rapidly across states, and repeat orders like this one highlight satisfaction with GREW Solar's earlier supplies — particularly in module efficiency, durability, and on-time project execution.

Industry experts view such repeat contracts as strong validation of a manufacturer's supply chain stability and product consistency, especially as developers prioritize local sourcing to reduce import risks and support national energy security

High-Efficiency TOPCon Modules Powering Utility-Scale Growth

Founded in 2022 and backed by the diversified Chiripal Group, GREW Solar specializes in next-generation high-efficiency TOPCon PV modules tailored for utility-scale and large commercial projects. The company has rapidly scaled operations through technology adoption, automation, and strategic investments.

GREW Solar currently operates 6.5 GW of module manufacturing capacity at its flagship facility in Dudu, Rajasthan, where multiple production lines produce M10-sized TOPCon modules rated up to 590 Wp. These modules are increasingly favored in large solar parks for their superior efficiency, better temperature coefficients, and higher long-term energy yields.

Ambitious Expansion: Toward 11 GW Modules and 8 GW Cells by 2026

GREW Solar is aggressively expanding to meet India's rising solar demand. The Dudu facility is being upgraded to 11 GW of total module capacity. In parallel, the company is pursuing full backward integration with a 3 GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, with plans to scale cell capacity to 8 GW by the end of 2026.

This upstream move will enhance supply chain control, cut import dependency, lower costs, and boost competitiveness in both domestic and global markets.

CEO Perspective: Aligning with India's Energy Security Vision

Commenting on the repeat order, CEO Vinay Thadani stated: "This deal reaffirms confidence in our manufacturing strategy, quality standards, and execution capabilities. It aligns perfectly with India's broader objectives of clean energy expansion and energy security under the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. Scaling domestic production with advanced technology and rigorous quality control will be crucial to powering the next phase of India's solar revolution."

Strong Backing from Chiripal Group Fuels Rapid Growth

Supported by the Chiripal Group's five decades of manufacturing expertise across diverse sectors, GREW Solar started with 1.2 GW initial capacity in 2022 and has grown exponentially through fresh capital, infrastructure upgrades, and a focus on innovation. The company's rapid rise positions it as one of India's most dynamic young players in the solar PV manufacturing space.

This 550 MW repeat order not only boosts GREW Solar's order book but also contributes to India's self-reliance in renewable energy manufacturing — a critical step toward sustainable growth and global competitiveness.
