Juniper Green Energy Commissions 72 MWp Solar Capacity at Solapur Hybrid Project

Juniper Green Energy commissioned 72MWp solar Power Plant in Solapur Maharashtra

Juniper Green Energy Private Limited has successfully commissioned 72 MWp of solar power capacity at its 133 MWp Hybrid Renewable Energy Project in Solapur, Maharashtra. 

The newly commissioned capacity achieved commercial operation on 10 January 2026.

With this milestone, the entire solar component of 108 MWp under the hybrid project is now fully operational. The project also includes 25 MW of wind capacity which installation and to bo commissioned.

The hybrid project is being executed through Juniper Green Energy’s subsidiary, Juniper Green Spark Ten Private Limited. Power generated from the project will be supplied to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The company has not disclosed the applicable PPA tariff.

Earlier, Juniper Green Energy commissioned the first phase of 36 MWp solar capacity in September 2025. With the commissioning of the additional 72 MWp in January 2026, the solar segment has been completed ahead of schedule. 

The PPA for the full 133 MWp hybrid capacity (108 MWp solar + 25 MW wind) was signed with MSEDCL, with the project’s scheduled commissioning date set for 17 November 2026.

Commenting on the development, Ankush Malik, Chief Executive Officer, Juniper Green Energy, said that the early completion of the solar component once again reflects the company’s strong execution capabilities and commitment to timely project delivery.
