India’s clean energy revolution gained powerful momentum in 2025 as Mahindra Susten successfully commissioned 560 MWp of utility-scale solar power projects across Gujarat and Rajasthan. This landmark achievement not only reinforces Mahindra Susten’s leadership in renewable infrastructure but also marks a significant step toward India’s Net-Zero emissions target by 2070.

More than just a capacity milestone, the project represents a bold leap in large-scale solar engineering, sustainability, and energy security.

Mahindra Susten 560 MWp Solar Projects:-

Mahindra Susten delivered two large solar power plants of 280 MWp each, strategically located in high-solar-irradiation zones.

Total Installed Capacity: 560 MWp

Project Locations: Gujarat & Rajasthan

Project Type: Utility-scale grid-connected solar

Land Footprint: ~2,000 acres

Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs): 25 years

Off-takers:-

  • Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL)
  • Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (RUVNL)

With long-term PPAs secured, the projects will supply reliable, affordable green electricity to state grids for decades.

The projects were awarded through competitive solar bidding processes, a cornerstone of India’s renewable expansion strategy.

  • Bidding & Allocation: 2024
  • Engineering & Procurement: 2024
  • Construction: 2024–2025
  • Commissioning: December 2025

Despite tight schedules and massive scale, Mahindra Susten completed the projects within planned timelines, showcasing its strong EPC and project management capabilities.

Mahindra Susten deployed next-generation solar technologies to maximize energy output while minimizing environmental impact.

  • N-Type TOPCon bifacial solar modules for higher efficiency and dual-side energy capture
  • High-efficiency inverters for improved power conversion
  • Dry robotic cleaning systems, significantly reducing water usage
  • 220 kV substations for smooth power evacuation
  • ~1 million solar modules installed
  • ~12,400 tonnes of structural steel
  • ~2,600 km of DC & AC cabling

This massive deployment highlights the industrial scale at which India’s solar sector is now operating

This project produce ~1,000 million units (MUs) of electricity every year

Beyond clean power, the projects delivered strong economic value, Jobs & Workforce

1,000+ workers employed during peak construction

Opportunities across engineering, logistics, fabrication, and local services

By engaging local vendors and suppliers, the projects acted as economic catalysts for regional development in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
