KPI Green Energy Limited has completed a 92.4 MW wind power project for Ayana Renewable Power at Nakhatrana in Bhuj, Gujarat.
The project comprises 28 wind turbine generators from Envision Energy’s 3.3 MW series. KPI Green Energy executed the full engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) scope, including the Balance of Plant (BoP), Power Substation (PSS), Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission line, and the erection and commissioning of the turbines.
The wind project has been successfully connected to the grid through the Bhuj Power Grid substation, operated by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, enabling evacuation of the generated power. The project has also received the required approval from the Central Electricity Authority (CEA).
The deployment of Envision’s 3.3 MW series turbines reflects the growing adoption of higher-capacity wind technology in India aimed at improving efficiency and optimizing land use. The grid connectivity through Power Grid’s Bhuj substation strengthens transmission reliability and ensures seamless integration into the national grid.
Ayana Renewable Power is a leading independent power producer focused on utility-scale solar, wind, and hybrid projects across India. The company operates a multi-gigawatt renewable portfolio and supplies power to central and state utilities under long-term power purchase agreements. Ayana was acquired by ONGC Green Limited, a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), reinforcing its renewable expansion strategy.
India continues to accelerate wind and hybrid capacity additions as part of its target to achieve 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. The completion of this 92.4 MW wind project adds to Gujarat’s growing renewable energy capacity and supports the country’s clean energy transition.
